I’m a New York-based journalist, podcast producer and communications consultant for the United Nations. Not long ago, I followed the homeward journey of a looted relic, and used it to explore the debate around the restitution of cultural objects. I’m currently thinking/reading about psychedelics and wonder.
My work has appeared in publications including the Guardian, Aeon Magazine, the Believer, and Nautilus. My essay on the empirical evidence against solitary confinement was listed by the Atlantic as an “exceptional non-fiction story” in 2015. I have a masters in science journalism from Columbia University Journalism School. I worked as a producer for Gimlet Media’s podcast Science Vs. for two years, and have fact-checked articles for Discover and Harper’s Magazine.
